Biometric identification is the

Biometric systems are superior to
cards or badges because they

identifying and verifying people. The
HandKey® ID-3D uses the uniqueness
of three-dimensional hand geometry
to control the access to your valued
resources, and it does it better than
any other biometric system.
Results of independent field tests
show that the HandKey® ID-3D has
the best overall performance and
control system. The reader can
emulate card readers for user
acceptance of any biometric
device.
The HandKey® ID-3D is fast, accurate
and provides positive identification
typically within one second. By
utilising a user-friendly, non-invasive
measurement, the hand is simply
placed on a flat plate in full view of
the user. The HandKey’s small 9-byte
template means fast enrolment with
minimum data coverage.
The HandKey® ID-3D is ideal as a
stand-alone unit or can be networked
into a time and attendance or
access control system. The reader
can emulate card readers for easy
integration into existing card systems. Its cost is competitive with that of
card-reader systems.
Stand-alone Access
Control System
The HandKey® ID-3D can operate as a
complete stand-alone access control
station. Door lock operation and
alarm monitoring of the door status is
provided. An external alarm circuit is
included for operating an audio or
visual alarm. To accommodate large
applications, HandKeys® can be
networked together.
Stand-alone operation lets you provide
true security to a single door at an
affordable price.
System interface
Using its card reader emulation output, the HandKey® ID-3D
can easily be integrated into new or existing Uniclox time
and attendance or access control systems. All Wiegand
and proximity formats can be accommodated optionally.
The HandKey® ID-3D can be interconnected via RS-485
twisted pair for hand data transfer.
